Class Is Back In Session: Brand Development

A frequent question that I get asked a lot is, “Ky, how can I make my product stronger?” My response to that question is always the same. Ask yourself [What, Why, When, Where, and How]. What makes my brand different from the rest? Why have I created this brand? Who is this brand designed for? Where do I want to see my brand go? and How do I plan on advancing my brand to the next level? Those five simple questions should be asked for your PERSONAL BRAND (who you are as a person, how you are perceived by others etc) and for Brand Development in terms of a product. When you design a product and have intentions on making a profit from it, it is extremely important to create something that YOU, the creator agree with completely. If you don’t believe in your product it is safe to say that no one else will. I recently sat down with Wayne Fryer, the Creative Director of the Lifestyle brand known as The Reckless Rebels to discuss his visions, goals and inspirations behind what he has built. Wayne knows exactly what he wants and has a grounded understanding of how to make it happen. With a hustlers mentality, time, patience and determination, the room for progression is never-ending.
