[L.A. Dreams] Pt. III x Bossa Nova

Los Angeles is a place of luxury, relaxation, and a lot of fun. Needless to say, they have good food too. My best friend, John, and I stopped by a bangin’ Brazilian restaurant on Sunset Boulevard called Bossa Nova for an amazing night of South American cuisine. From the venue and the service to the menu and the food itself, everything was exquisite. Unlike several restaurants that offer international dishes, we really got the sense that we were experiencing true Brazilian culture at its best.

Our server, Amit, got us started with a “surprise” pair of Caipirinhas, which a sexy name for mojitos without the mint leaves. After looking through BN’s amazing menu, I finally decided to give into the true vacation spirit and try something new and out there. I went for the Fillet Com Abacaxi, which is a Rio de Janeiro favorite made with filet mignon, pineapples, caramelized onions, and two cheeses on a hamburger bun. To put it simply, it was amazing. The plantain, which I rarely ever eat, surprisingly turned out to be a great side dish. To make it even better, the entire meal was relatively cheap and big enough to take some home with you for a second go! Finally, we finished off the fantastic meal with a cool red velvet cheesecake for dessert.

If I didn’t already have a reason to envy Californians, I do now. They get to enjoy this all the time! If you’re in the greater Los Angeles area, check out one of their three locations in [Hollywood], West Hollywood, and West L.A. Plus, they deliver and they stay open super late. Go tonight!
