First Rottweilers, now sharks. Almost one year ago to date, I fell in love with Givenchy. That head over heels, XOXO, “Will You Marry Me?” type of love. It started with a set of raging Rottweilers and has since blossomed into a fashion-filled love affair loaded with birds of paradise prints, shark teeth, human dog collars, beaver fur backpacks, that infamous tropical ivy green, and more.
Yesterday, I almost passed out when I saw the lookbook for Riccardo Tisci‘s Pre-Fall 2012 Menswear & Womenswear collections. I’d consider both to be an awesome blend of his past two seasons of work (three if you count the Resort 2012 collection) packed into one refined and exciting collection. After seeing basically all of the Milan Fashion Week shows, there’s no doubt in my mind that blue is the defining color of the season. With that said, it looks like Riccardo Tisci is taking us deep into the ocean to face mermaids (back track to the Givenchy Spring 2012 Women’s RTW collection) and killer sharks (see above). Needless to say, the Women’s Pre-Fall Collection is much more extravagant, but when it comes to fashion, I’m all into menswear, so check out the rest of the full lookbook for the Givenchy Men’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection below.
