[The Listening Session] Pt. 3: Rich Nitty

We’ve arrived at the last stop on the [Listening Session] train. Earlier this month, I introduced you all to Mike Jaggerr and Eric Sosa, two dope MCs from Brooklyn & Queens that I sat down with at JusListen’s Listening Session event. However, it wouldn’t be fair unless we gave the West Coast a chance to show us what they have to offer the game. Before I left that night, I did a last minute interview with one more rising artist, Rich Nitty. Hailing from Oakland, California, this 27-year old rapper made his way to NYC in 2004, but made sure to hold onto his Cali swagger. His first mixtape, West Side Story, dropped on April 1st and he’s been staying active, both performing and promoting hard, ever since. The mixtape serves as an informal introduction for those who aren’t familiar with him just yet. If that sounds like you, get to know him right now by listening in on some of our conversation below.
