Versace Spring 2013 Menswear Collection

Another Milan Menswear Fashion Week is here, and once again, Versace presented a large, diversified collection for the world to enjoy. There were a number of different elements, from the gladiator effect to the bold floral prints, that were blended together in order to produce the SS13 line, and collectively I think it was a pretty cool collection. A few of the pieces took me back two years ago to my 2010 Coronation Ball outfit. I wore a sleeveless blazer, which I altered myself, over a turtleneck and it definitely reminds me of the several sleeveless pieces that the line featured.

In addition to the [sans sleeve] look, I loved the pureness of the colors, although this season’s weren’t as attention-grabbing as the last. I’m not sure what it is about Versace, but their colors always look brighter and bolder than the rest. And while the impact was nowhere near as major as the Burberry Prorsum SS13 show’s, I loved the metallic looks and accessories. The strapped chest and waist pouches were worth noticing, as well as the underwear. If you didn’t check those out, go back and look again. Check out my favorite runway looks below and then head over to [Homme Model] for HQ images of the entire collection.
