Buongiorno, Italia! After our fast-paced stay in Paris, Ryan and I hopped on another plane and jetted over to Milan for two days. The city is so beautiful, from the stunning people and head-turning architecture to the vibrant pops of color and its charming old-world feel. And between the awesome shopping trips and amazing meals, it was definitely the perfect place to slow down a bit and actually get into vacation-mode. Check out a few of my favorite pictures from our visit.
The famous Louvre Museum… a beautiful scene I’ve admired forever. It was so amazing to finally see the palace and its pyramids in person. Surrounded by amazing architecture on all sides, the grounds are really breathtaking — plus, they made for a cool little backdrop for us to play around with our cameras.
Travel Style: Animal Prints + My Spin on the Parisian Beret.
Flash back to my Elements of FW15 Menswear Trend Report and you’ll recall that the animal print — from snakeskin to zebra stripes — is having a moment right now. This polo from Calvin Klein Collection takes the look in a dark direction, using a black colorway to show off giraffe patches. It’s a perfect way to make flashier patterns a bit more subtle. And being in Paris, I gave my own interpretation of the iconic beret with this super snug beanie from THING/THING. It totally cuts out the slouch of the classic look, and instead gives the look more of an NYC feel.
