So, at this point, I think we’ve all gotten a chance to recover from the madness of NYFW:Mens, right? Right. I know it was definitely a busy four days for me. Nonetheless, between the new collections and new connections, I’d say it was my best season yet. I’m happy about the direction that Mensweek seems to be moving in, and despite unsubstantiated rumors that it might be coming to an indefinite stop soon, I hope it continues getting stronger in the coming years.
Below, check out some of my favorite shots from all of the action last week, including my picks for the best shows, looks and details from the four days.
A #veryperry color palette at Perry Ellis SS17.
I loved the set-up plus the blend of smart tailoring and surfer vibes at David Hart.
My boy Igee killing the retro game, as usual.
No doubt about it, my favorite collection was Woodhouse. High fashion pieces done in a totally functional way. #win
Quick pitstop with the guys…
…before we hit Liberty Fairs for a special GQ Insider get together. Good to see all the guys in one spot.
Another one of my favorites: Brett Johnson.
Nick Graham not only presented an awesome collection, but the production was by-far the most exciting that I experienced this season. That skull-printed suit below is one of my favorite looks from the week.
My buddy Dathias gets my vote for best-dressed this season. Day after day, he took the right risks and broke out some solid looks effortlessly.
Tommy Hilfiger proved that you can do a whole lot with just three colors.
I partnered with Timex and Todd Snyder this season to promote their new (stunning) Mod Watch, so I got to check out the scene backstage before the show started. Definitely on the top of my list for best moments.
I also got invited to live cover the Grungy Gentleman SS17 fashion show with a few of my fellow influencers. Check out the Microsoft Surface 3 below.
Glad to say that I survived another crazy, non-stop, chaotic and [awesome] fashion week. -J
