As the sunshine season sadly comes to a close in the coming weeks, I can happily say that it’s been my best summer in the city so far. Between a couple of amazing dinner parties, countless squad outings, and a much-needed vacation with my fam—not to mention a lot of good old fashioned relaxation—I don’t have any regrets about the way I spent the past few months. Hands down, one of the best parts was teaming up with I.W. Harper Bourbon to present a specially-curated life/style series for you guys. Be sure to check out parts one and two if you haven’t already, but in this final chapter, I got a special gift from Goorin Bros., who partnered with I.W. to create a limited edition premium felt fedora for the holiday season.
Looking all the way back to their earliest years, I.W. Harper’s always stood as a clear symbol of sophistication, so the collaboration seems quite perfect. With that said, it was exciting to blend a bit of my urban, NYC vibe with the brand’s more classic approach to gentlemanly fashion.
Staying true to my personal style, I went for less dapper and more vintage, breaking out this sweet printed button-down that I got years ago thrifting in Atlanta and paired it with leather-coated denim and ankle boots for a rock-inspired look. I think it speaks to an extra layer of versatility that the hat brings, don’t you think?
You can get your hands on the limited edition Harper hat in time for the holiday season online and in-store at Goorin Bros. locations nationwide. And I’d like to thank I.W. Harper Bourbon for linking up with me this summer. It was a great experience from start to finish. -J
FYI: I was compensated for my participation in this summer-long campaign, including this blog post, but as always, all the thoughts, opinions, experiences and imagery are my own. Make sure you guys [drink responsibly] and remember that whiskey’s intended for the 21+ crowd (wait your turn, like the rest of us, haha)!
