I know that I am not the only one who had a slight obsession with Member’s Only jackets back in the day (I’m pretty sure you can find some pictures floating around of me rocking a vintage Member’s Only jacket I took from my grandfather’s closet somewhere but hat’s neither here nor there). A few months ago I was contacted by Member’s Only to come check out their showroom and discuss the possibility of me becoming a Blogger Brand Ambassador for the brand. Considering my loyalty to the brand for quite sometime now, I had to go in to witness with my own eyes what they were up to these days — it was indeed a visit worthwhile!
Ok, so let me paint the picture — follow along. I arrive at the building which just so conveniently happens to be located two blocks away from my office, around 1PM on a Friday. I get off on the 16th floor where I am greeted by one of the cutest girls I’ve seen working a showroom in a very long time (hi, Lauren). We have the typical “hi, how are you, nice to meet you, thanks for coming, thanks for having me” moment even though my attention and eyes left the conversation and went directly to the grids on the walls where the product was hanging. I am sure Lauren realized I had mentally escaped as she quickly gained my full attention again as she began to walk me through the Fall 2015 collections. I’m seeing leathers, neoprene, nylon, and a really cool new take on mixed media; all of which I can’t wait to share with you all (eventually). It was fresh, new, and very exciting to see such a classic brand redefine itself and witness first hand some of the major pieces they will be debuting this upcoming Fall season. After viewing the collection we spoke about some cool concepts that I am looking forward partnering with the brand on and she gifted me this amazing plaid and faux leather Varsity jacket just in time for the start of Spring. Stay tuned and be on the lookout for more product and partnerships from myself and Member’s Only coming soon!
